Hello,

I've been using g4u for about a month. I like to make backups at home of
all my machines with it regularly. It was going well on a few other
machines, but then I got a couple of these new ones to replace my old
file servers. These new ones have an Asus M2NBP-VM CSM motherboard with
the Nvidia nforce onboard 10/100/1000 NIC. This NIC works fine in
Windows XP at 1Gb but g4u can't seem to keep it running. I was wondering
if this NIC was supported at all or will be in the future?

I should mention that I was using g4u to FTP to a Windows 2000 box
running FileZilla FTP server, with other computers. That was working
just fine. I guess it is just the NIC of the new computers that is the
problem.

If this gets working for these new machines I would definitely make some
kind of donation through the PayPal link!

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Technical stuff follows:

When booting I get output like the following:

DHCPDISCOVER on nfe0... ( 2 lines like this)
nfe0 watchdog timeout
(those lines repeat a few times)

Once loaded I do ifconfig nfe0 and it says:

nfe0: flags=8843<UP, BROADCAST, RUNNING, SIMPLEX, MULTICAST> mtu 1500
        address: 00:18:f3:67:20:50
        media: Ethernet autoselect (1000baseT full-duplex)
        status: active
        inet 0.0.0.0 netmask 0xff000000 broadcast 255.255.255.255

Some output from dmesg that might be relevant:

nfe0 at pci0 dev 20 function 0: irq 11, address 00:18:f3:67:20:50
ukphy0 at nfe0 phy1: Generic IEEE 802.3u media interface
ukphy0 OUI 0x000ac2, model 0x0021, rev. 1
ukphy0 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, 1000baseT,
1000baseT-FDX, auto
nfe0: watchdog timeout
(last line repeats 8x)

Note I didn't see anything else using irq 11. Let me know if there are
other lines I should look at.

And while I'm viewing the dmesg "nfe0: watchdogtimeout" comes up in
green every once in a while.

If I do the following:

ifconfig nfe0 down
ifconfig nfe0 netmask 255.255.0.0 190.10.9.220
ifconfig nfe0 up

The interface then seems to be connected, as I can start an uploaddisk
command. However it is interrupted by the green "nfe0: watchdog timeout"
messages and finally it will say "Not connected." 3 times and then fail.
