work. I have done a successful backup and restore with it.

Not sure of the support in g4u, but would be interested if you could see
if the latest versions of g4l might work with it. The latest beta I have
is:

ftp://amd64gcc.dyndns.org/g4l22beta-01-10-2007p.iso

It includes some older kernels from past version, but also has the
latest versions including the 2.6.20-rc4 git kernels.
