Hey Michael, Thanks for the link. Stayed up late last night and figured the other ethernet port had better luck with dhcp for some reason. It picked up good IP and started my backup. Thanks again, that linux boot cd version sounds nice, so I shall start using that when its not in beta.
I had 1 extra question, can I save the image to DVD? I know g4u doesnt backup that way [by asking you to insert DVD#1, DVD#2 until image is loaded]. It has to be on the ftp computer's hard drive [or local HD] when you want to restore it at later date. But until that point, can you use Winrar for example and break up the image.gz file into many ~4.4GB rar files (like image.rar0, image.rar1, etc), and stores those on a few DVDR's? and then when you want to restore it, copy them to the other computers hard drive and reform the one image.gz file. I wasnt sure though if that transfer would cause problems, like since it would be going onto a DVDR, would it make the image and everything inside it read-only and screw up the permissions (like when u burn text files onto a cd)? Btw webpage should be updated in that Download section since you moved to a 2 floppy system, "Three empty 1.44MB floppy disks" [change to Two] 'floppy disc 3' link leads nowhere and other 'floppy disc 3' references in that section.
