Chris, FreeNAS's FTP server is in its infancy stages, as the distro is based
on Monowall, which is inherently NOT an NAS application. Taken from
monowall's site: " m0n0wall is a project aimed at creating a complete,
embedded firewall software package that, when used together with an embedded
PC, provides all the important features of commercial firewall boxes
(including ease of use) at a fraction of the price (free software)."

I would recommend ditching FreeNAS in favor of a more robust mini-distro,
such as Damn Small Linux (DSL) or if you don't like Debian (I know debian
and I don't get along), use SLAX, which is another mini-distro based on
Slackware.

I honestly don't know what hardware you're planning on using this on, but
having helped run a helpdesk at a college. I know the needs that can arise,
and I would recommend trying to get a nice, full-featured fileserver if you
can. That will allow you to do more than just host G4U images, and increase
producitivity on the hardware. Just my $.02... Your mileage may vary.
