Category: win32 Group: v1.5.0 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Simon-v (simon-v) Assigned to: Mark Doliner (thekingant) Summary: Moving Buddy to other group triggers Buddy Add Initial Comment: Moving a Buddy to another group trough drag-and-drop triggers a Buddy Add sequence, including re-sending authorization requests. Sometimes the sequence fails, displaying an error message, announcing that Buddy could not be added for unknown reason, possibly due to max buddies (false). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Megan Schneider (ciran) Date: 2007-02-16 00:58 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=801517 Originator: NO Has duplicates 1539917, 1595961. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: JGrover (yankeej14) Date: 2006-04-18 23:41 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1505197 I currently use AIM, MSN, and Google Talk(Jabber) and I also get this error. My buddy list is also at the max number of people for AIM servers. However, one slight difference is that the move actually is successful, though I still get the error message. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Simon-v (simon-v) Date: 2006-04-17 11:19 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1503456 I currently use three protocols: ICQ, MSN and AIM. The issue is most apparent with ICQ (due to the protocol's security policy - authorization required on most Buddy actions), but was also noticed on MSN (via self-add). I don't currently know if the issue happens with AIM (security policy is less severe than ICQ's? I don't use it as much) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2006-04-17 10:39 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 what protocol(s) are you hitting this with? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100235&aid=1471481&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
