Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: None Group: None Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Gary (gary00) Assigned to: Tim Ringenbach (marv_sf) Summary: Add date to time in IM window Initial Comment: The IM window does not display the date, only the time, before the IM user name. For example, today: (12:25:12) Gary: yes would be better for logging/historical viewing as: (2004/08/09 12:25:12) Gary: Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Date: 2007-04-09 20:26 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=325843 Originator: NO Incidentally, this functionality is in 2.0.0beta6 via the timestamp format plugin. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2007-04-09 20:14 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 Originator: NO As we are closing this tracker, please submit any feature request that is still valid to http://developer.pidgin.im. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Peter Smith (peters) Date: 2005-08-01 14:41 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=15554 I desperately need this feature too. It would be best to have an open and dynamic method of defining the date used for chat sessions. I recommend the method Apache uses. http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/logs.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: BkSystems (bksystems) Date: 2004-08-13 00:17 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1100164 If you want this I can add in the source code and I can Give you But this is not required it seems. The Reasons are as follows -> When you char with the destination both will be in on same date so there It is neccessary to display the time But not the date But If you give some offline message At that time Your destination is openig the message after 3 days at that time It is neccasary to tell the date also that gaim will do already.. there is no problem in that but if the source and destincation online at that time gaim will display the time If your message is older than 20 minutes that time it will diplay the message whatever U asked for .... I think U can check in the gaim itself -> Also it is not a Bug the developers done this concept Speclfically If you want some clarification regarding this Please let me know ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Date: 2004-08-10 16:04 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=325843 This is a RFE, not a bug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350235&aid=1006808&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
