Category: core Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: nadanombre (nadanombre) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: close tabs with middle click Initial Comment: Two features that I think would improve the interface would be the option to close tabs by clicking them with the middle mouse button. A second useful feature would be the ability to zoom in and out of the text in conversation windows. This is a standard feature in AIM so that depending on the user's resolution, the size of text on the screen can be adjusted. With my resolution of 1920x1200 it is difficult to read the text of users that have a very small font size. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2007-04-11 13:02 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 Originator: NO As we are closing this tracker, please submit any feature request that is still valid to http://developer.pidgin.im. Comments added from #1466570: It would be nice if middle clicking a tab would close it. This behavior is standard in a lot of applications like firefox and people seem to be accustomed to it. I don't see any reason gaim shouldn't follow suit. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Megan Schneider (ciran) Date: 2006-06-29 17:09 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=801517 Adding comment from #999231 (Andrey Fedorov - andreyf): After using Thunderbird for awhile, it has become unbelievably convenient to use the third mouse button to close tabs, something that would make GAIM much more convenient. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Eduardo Perez Ureta (eperez) Date: 2006-06-26 11:39 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=60347 I think both of this features, if implemented, should be implemented in gtk+ and not only in gaim, to make all gtk+ apps have a consistent user interface. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2004-07-24 10:13 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 the latter is implemented by the extra prefs plugin from http://gaim-extprefs.sf.net/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350235&aid=995392&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
