Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: Invalid Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Kelly John Rose (marvinmouse) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: show buddy icons not correct Initial Comment: in Preferences the option "Show Buddy Icons" is not correct it should be "Show Large Buddy Icons" or something similar because, when it's turned off the buddy icons are still there, but smaller. Which is good because that's what I wanted (was smaller buddy icons.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2007-04-17 15:42 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 Originator: NO As we are closing this tracker, please submit any feature request that is still valid to http://developer.pidgin.im. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2003-11-21 01:17 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 yes, people have requested at various times that the 2 behaviors be independent. they aren't because no developer has need of them to be independent. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kelly John Rose (marvinmouse) Date: 2003-11-20 22:22 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=623745 okay, so the question would then be, why when I turn off show buddy icons does all of the icons for the other protocols shrink? Shouldn't they have been small in the first place? Thus, shouldn't they be independent? The bug still stands because the preference does not do expected behaviour, whether or not it turns off the buddy icons for AIM is insignificant, it should not be affecting other aspects of the user interface unexpectedly. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2003-11-20 19:31 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 you misunderstand this option because you don't use a protocol in which we support buddy icons. a buddy icon as the preference refers to is a picture on the far right of the screen not the status icon on the left. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350235&aid=846211&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
