Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: win32 Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Todd Karasick (chewyfood) Assigned to: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Summary: Support for Windows XP Enlarged Fonts Initial Comment: When I setup Windows XP to use Large or Extra Large fonts in the Appearance Menu in the Display Properties, the text in the GAIM preferences window (for example) expands over the checkboxes for the options. Is it possible to change the behavior of GAIM to enlarged fonts? While on the subject of fonts, is it possible to implement a way to enlarge the text in the Buddy List? As in the Buddy Names, or their statuses? And while on that matter, is it possible to implement a way to enlarge the Network icons and buddy icons that appear next to each buddy? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2007-04-20 10:56 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 Originator: NO As we are closing this tracker, please submit any feature request that is still valid to http://developer.pidgin.im. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Todd Karasick (chewyfood) Date: 2004-07-07 02:28 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1072784 Apparently this issue with the buttons in the IM windows only occurs for buddies (on AIM only...i dont use any of the other networks) with buddy icons. For buddies with no icons, the enlarged fonts work no problem. Button text looks fine. Just the windows with the buddy icon... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Todd Karasick (chewyfood) Date: 2004-07-06 20:44 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1072784 Actually, now the text under the buttons in the IM windows expand over the size of the window, even when enlarged. The buttons at the bottom: Warn, Block, Remove, Info, Send In the case of Remove, it expands over the size of the button, so all i see right now is "Remo". Warn shows up as "War" since the "n" is cut off... Send shows up as "Seno" since the "d" is cut off... I changed the font settings while GAIM was opened and i had these problems. Once I restarted GAIM all font issues were resolved in the Windows...checkboxes are back. Other 2 feature requests stand......though, enlarging and decreasing the windows system font does effect the fonts in the Buddy List window, though id like to see a way to do that without having to change the System fonts. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350235&aid=986313&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
