Does kopete allow you to be signed on to more than one account on a specific protocol at the same time? If so how do you tell the difference between the icons for each account? How many account icons can you fit across your buddy list window? I can't imagine it is enough to scale even close to the amount needed for some of the people who use gaim. Yes, creating a saved status for each different combination can pile up, but most people don't need that many, and you can create a 'dummy' status that you modify to fit your needs whenever you need to use it. Also, when you select 'New' from the status selector the dialog fills in with your current state so you can make small modifications easily.
