What I did was comment out something in this section of the makefile
xmppconsole.cplugin_LTLIBRARIES = \
convcolors.la \
extplacement.la \
gaimrc.la \
history.la \
iconaway.la \
markerline.la \
notify.la \
relnot.la \
spellchk.la \
timestamp.la \
timestamp_format.la #\
# xmppconsole.la
and compile went through.
I don't know much about makefiles, so... is this even the right way to do this?
