Category: None Group: gtk bug #107320 >Status: Closed Resolution: Later Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Ken Phillis Jr. (dandel1984) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Link hover Bugs with gaim Initial Comment: i don't know much about the gtk or gaim programming wize, but here is the bug, gaim leaves links on screen when you switch programs. i don't knw where and how it is caused but to get it to appear, send an link to a friend, any friend, and when that is done, start notepad or some other program, and then go back to gaim, and hover over that link (it should give you the address), with that, switch to the program u started, and you will still have the address showing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Ken Phillis Jr. (dandel1984) Date: 2004-11-24 14:48 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=956063 Found another detail on it.... the hover over a contact does not effect offline people, only those who are online.... so it is a gaim bug.... i think. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2004-11-24 14:13 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 Sean, please do NOT close gtk-bugs duplicate, see my explaination in the tracker's description. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2004-11-21 14:01 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 yeah, it is, as your group says, gtk bug #107320 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Ken Phillis Jr. (dandel1984) Date: 2004-11-18 11:11 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=956063 This is not a Gaim bug, but a bug in GTK+, the widget toolkit used by Gaim. You can report this bug to the GTK+ developers at http://bugzilla.gnome.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Ken Phillis Jr. (dandel1984) Date: 2004-11-18 11:11 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=956063 I just figured out that this bug is in gtk, because on xchat i was able to reproduce it... i right clicked on a channel, then alt tabbed to another proggy and it still had the menu up. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Matt Wagner (n1zyy) Date: 2004-11-17 19:38 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=282711 Just installed 1.0.3, and can verify that this is still there. It seems to be similar to bug 1068190, but I'm not sure if it's the same underlying cause. Not sure if the problem lies with GTK or gaim, but it's fantastically annoying. The description of the problem makes it sound hard-to-trigger, but it's not at ALL. It happens nearly daily. (WinXP Pro is my OS.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Ken Phillis Jr. (dandel1984) Date: 2004-11-16 20:26 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=956063 oh i just realized that i forgot to say somethin in that process, when u switch to the other program do a quick Alt+Tab to switch ( standard setup on windows should show it) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=680472&aid=1067758&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
