Summary: Gaim-Ql (Quod Libet)
Initial Comment:
This very simplistic plug-in allows you to display what
Quodlibet is currently playing by use of a command. The
formatting can be configured.
This is one of my first actual C projects.
Comments and suggestions are more than welcome.

I cannot recall having made any changes to the code as it is published on
this page, after october last year. Due to other time consuming activities
I have mostly neglected this project and am not in the position to pick it
up again soon. Should I decide to continue working on this project I will
most likely, due to the small code, little complexity, programming errors
(such as the use of access();) and poor (if at all) documentation, rewrite
it. However, should you continue to debug it, I would kindly like to
request that you send me a digest of major changes made to the code, so
that I can gain a better understanding of how someone else would tackle the
code.

Did you make any fixes since october last year?
I've just decided to wake up my gaim/ql integration, and decided that your
code looked at least as promising as my own. Probably partly due to the
fact that it was originally inspired by my code :)
Anyway, so far I've integrated your code into the my autotools setup, and
made various fixes to inclusions and such. The plugin however crashes
whenever I issue a command in a gaim conversation. Before I proceed with
debugging, I wanted to know if you have any changes that I should know
about?

Decided to upload the most recent version of the plugin.
It's a complete rewrite so it shouldn't crash as much
anymore :-). The fields in the notification message have
been changed slightly and it's now possible to dynamically
set your Gaim avatar (per account) as the current album art
(requires the QuodLibet plugin "Picture Saver" to be enabled).
The .so file is compiled against a recent svn version for x86.
Heavily inspired by Boll Overgaard's original gaim-ql
integration.

I've previously created a small gaim plugin for use with
Quod Libet. Perhaps we should pool our efforts and create a
more complete Pan/Quod Libet integration?
My plugin is at
http://soren.overgaard.org/cgi-bin/index?t=gaim_ql
Let me know what you think.
