UNESCO seeks a Chair of the Women, Science and Technology initiative as a corrolary to the 1998 UNESCO Regional Forum "Women, Science and Technology: Diagnosis and Strategies."
The position is based at FLACSO in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Chair's responsibilities will include: cooperation and communication with governmental and non-governmental organizations to implement projects, organizing seminars, virtual forums, teleconferences and other educational initiatives, organizing community educational and informational campaigns, conducting research, disseminating results of research and other information to the public, and meeting with other groups to work for the advancement of women in science and technology.
