Hello,

The simplest way to get access to a history or workflow in file format is to download from the UI. This creates an output file that can be archived and/or loaded into other Galaxy instances. However, if you want to explore the data itself, then you will want to look in the database associated with your Galaxy instance.

This database contains the tables that link groups of tools/data associated with workflows and histories.

If you have a basic install following these instructions, then your data is organized using the "Basic Configuration" with a SQLite database:

If you have upgraded to a "Production server", then your database is likely an alternative, such as PostgreSQL:
