Hello, Greg, If I understand correctly, this may be an error with the server or panel loading the previously-used/most-current history. How many histories are displayed when you use the 'history-options-button' (the gear at the top of the history panel) and click 'Saved Histories'?
As a side question, which browser are you using or most commonly using?
