Hey Evan, The following diff *should* add a new config option in universe_wsgi.ini called no_reply_email_from that can be used to set from when sending these activation emails. If you are feeling brave, try it out and let me know how it goes. I have not recreated this problem (read I have not tested this at all) - but if this works for you I would be happy to commit it to -central.
