we have multiple active repositories on GH already that contain e.g. Galaxy
tool wrappers (https://github.com/galaxyproject/tools-devteam) or software
to help with Galaxy deployment (
Regarding our main development repository (currently at
https://bitbucket.org/galaxy/galaxy-central ) the move to the GH _might_
happen sometimes this year and will be transparent for anybody deploying
Galaxy (probably with https://bitbucket.org/galaxy/galaxy-dist remaining as
a maintaned mirror).
There is no deadline though as the percieved importance is not high.
