I've written a few general game set files which turn off all but the 
voice of window-eyes. This way if you have msn messenger running or some 
IM program you can still hear those while playing but generally it 
really is a good idea to just turn the screen reader off.

I have 1GB of ram and still get some slowness when playing games and 
keeping my screen reader on.

I mean, it really serves no purpose and just takes up lots of extra 
resources.
