Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and OAS International saw a
crowd turnout of 3551. OAS had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following
players had been chosen: Cramer - Locklear, Shackelford, Ferguson, Hurst -
Wall, Isaacs, De Ita, Trevino - Alicea, Perez.

Sparta started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Longoria - da Glória,
Coronado, Giménez - Grados, Crowell, Wubugwubuk, Abarca, Rødsjø - Dick, Oja.

In the 10th minute, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor
defending.
Toni Oja
put the ball away for 0 - 1. In the game's 22nd minute, Sparta's
Elijah Crowell
missed a penalty when the keeper took a premature dive in the right direction,
and tipped the ball out of the way. The away team's
Alexander Abarca
took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right in the 23rd minute
increasing Sparta's lead to 0 - 2.
Elijah Crowell
was, after 30 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well
placed diving header, but home side's keeper
Eugene Cramer
made the save. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Sparta, bringing their ball
possession to 61 percent, dominated the battle.

Sparta came close to extending their lead as
Manuel Giménez
delivered a long range shot from the right but the angle was too sharp, and the
shot hit the side of the goal. Some fine maneuvering on the left led to
a Sparta goal in the 89th minute, making it 0 - 3.
Alexander Abarca
was noted down as the scorer. In the 90th minute, OAS's
Herman Wall
received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Klaus Dick
increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the
right. 0 - 4. By now, Sparta were drawing the troops back in order to defend
their lead. Sparta, bringing their ball possession to 62 percent, dominated the
battle.

OAS's best player was
Tomás De Ita.
Hans Isaacs
was a disappointment, however. Sparta's best player was
Toni Oja.
Alexander Abarca
on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 4.
