Hi, I can see several ways in wich Linux games can be upgraded to be accessible. For starts most Linux distros come with festival as the default tts engine. Hook the games up to gnome-speech, and you would be able to self voice many things that need to be spoken such as menus, options, scores, etc... Another good advantage is many Linux games now use OpenAL for audio. OpenAL like MS DirectSound has 3D positioning on audio effects. If used properly in a Linux game it could in theory make the audio environments as accessible as Windows PC games. Finally, there are other changes they might be able to add such as targeting beeps, and other indicator effects which a VI gamer could use in the game. In short what you propose is quite possible. It is more a matter of the financial resources to do it. As mmuch as I like Linux there isn't currently a large enough VI market for it yet.
