Hello,
Good point, network updating packet wise will probably be udp and
shouldn't be to taxing. I have another idea on multiple tactical situations,
and instead of voice chat utilize say a hotkey which pops up a dialog box
where i'll use the commander as an example types in something like tc4 go
this way and do that, selects tc4 and sends the msg. On tc4's display you
wouldn't get a popup that might interfere with game play, but you would get
speech of the text msg the commander just sent you. And comparing that to a
full voice chat system i can't see that system causing more lag on the
server than the game.
    Just a thought.
Dave.
