Hi, Damien.
Perhaps so, but what is the point of a talking install for games anyway?
It is assumed in most cases that the person in question has a screen
magnification or screen reader program to do the install of the game.
As for crashes I have used MSI for installation, and while overly
simplified I have never had it crash during a test install. Often times
the reason it fails is do to end users computers running the wrong
version of msi.
In the early days of STFC testing I found many Windows 98/ME users were
not running version 2 or higher of the Microsoft Setup Installer, and it
bombed out. It was the fault of there os, and not my installer.
Another alternative is innosetup. GMA BSC and others have used it and
it is also one of the best installers around.
