Hi, Damien. No, Java and Javascript are not the same thing, and in fact the languages were not even created by the same company. Java is a product from Sun which is used to create games, office programs, servlets, applets, and well it has a billion uses. Javascript was developed by Netscape as a high-level scripting language for the internet.
