If any of you know about/have heard about the worms series of games: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worms_(series)
Anyway, back in old sighted days, we'd often enough, on a friday afternoon, end up playing a form of network gaming in office, focusing often enough on various versions/episodes of these worms games, where you'd effectively, each turn get to move around the very varying 2D landscapes, and collect items/weapons, and make use of them to change landscape, attack other worms characters/players, etc. etc. before your turn time ran out, or you ended your turn yourself. Would say/guess it was almost something like an animated/expanded version of something similar to the principle of something like battleships, but, a lot more fun, and, also meant you could let like 5 people play against each other in one session. There were also a lot of different sound effects, comment voice packages, in different languages, saying funny things about what you'd just done, and which you could also make use of as a form of implementation of a personal message to another player, etc. Anyway, just wondering if anyone can think of anything somewhat similar to this out there that we would be able to play? Suppose, it would be easy enough to put together a map campaign for tactical battle making use of this theme as well though - motivation for me to get into/around to it...<smile> Stay well Jacob Kruger Blind Biker Skype: BlindZA '...fate had broken his body, but not his spirit...' --- Gamers mailing list __ [email protected] If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to [email protected].
