Hi Dark, the ones I'm looking at are from about 1500 to 3000 USD and can
certainly print shapes like non-traditional gaming dice.

They can print incredibly complex shapes and parts to assemble items.

Of the least expensive printer I just looked at, it can print a volume up to
5.5 by 5.5 by 5.5 inches and the volumes go up from there.

They can also print in two or three colors at a time. So bright contrast is
possible.

this technology is only improving and becoming cheaper and cheaper quicker and
quicker. :)

So this could actually be a really good alternative for community-based
development of accessible items.

Smiles,

Cara :)

Interesting Kara, not something I've heard of before, though I'd be surprised
if the 3D printer could actually create a shape as complex as a tesolated
dodeckahedron.
Sadly though I doubt I'd have the money to buy such a printer just for the
dice, indeed if they cost similar to current access tech I'd imagine they'd set
me back a few thousand.

Beware the grue!

Dark.
