HI, Seems to me that in one of the 3 mounds with a stone in it lies your answer. Two of the mounds are small, 1 is a bit larger. Search around in there and you will find a wall or a stairwell with a hole next to it. Go in the hole and you will know what to do next.
Good luck. ps. While in the hills, be sure to get the pelt and hair of the white wolf. Take the pelt back to peg and the fur to the alchemist to complete 2 other quests. later tater.
