Hi Ryan, Actually, I have reformatted many times and used the same code AKA product key to register. The issue is that you must use the exact registration information as you had when registering such as your name, your login/user name, and of course the same CPU. If all of those requirements are met your old license info should still work after reformatting and reinstalling Windows. It has for me at least.
