I just had a weird dream and had to share. This is a game called Rebel's
Parent. You are the not-so-proud parent of a teen-age punk. In trying to bond
with him, you give him $100--and install a small video camera in his glasses so
you can see how he blows the cash.
This is a zero player game, where you have no influence whatsoever. If you tell
him to do something, he does the exact opposite--unless you tell him to get
drunk or buy a pack of cigarettes.
Day 1: Punk sneaks off to his friend's house and gives $5 to his friend's older
brother for cheap whiskey. He comes home and blows chunks all over the bathroom
floor and passes out on the toilet. Dignity minus 5, stress plus 10, anger plus

Day 2. Punk gets on the computer and tries to decompile and rewrite a popular
game. Press space to roll the dice. You rolled a six. The punk succeeded and
sold his hacked copy to some friends for $2. Oh the shame! Dignity minus 20
Day 3: Punk beats up a kid weaker than himself, cops call you to bail him out
of jail. I guess he didn't tell them he's got money of his own?
Days 4-7: Punk sits in jail, waiting for you to bail him out. Enjoy your time
to yourself! Stress minus 50
Day 8: Punk finally bails himself out of jail. He and his friends get drunk and
rob a seven eleven. Roll the dice.
You rolled a 4. His friends got caught, but he ran away in time. It appears he
was the lookout. Ouch! Dignity minus twelve, anger plus 7, money minus 50
Day 9: Punk spends his day at Wal*mart. It seems that maxing out the stereos'
volume, then turning them off, then watching old ladies turn them on and get a
scare is quite amusing. He gets kicked out of the store by an irate manager who
doesn't see him pocketing some gum. Dignity minus 5
Day 10: Punk bails his best friend out of jail, gets drunk with him, and comes
home reeking of booze. After you give him a stern lecture, he pretends to pass
out. Once you're asleep, he takes your car for a spin and wrecks it. Money
minus 3000, anger + 1000. In a fit of rage, you show the video from your camera
to the police, who arrest him on multiple charges.
Game Over!
Thank God my kids are not like this lol! On the other hand, I did a lot of
these things!
