Hi Damien, Thanks. I really do think this is the best decision you made given that you put a lot of hard work into this game, and I'd hate to see it be lost to everyone just because you were concerned about a few customers feeling cheated or something.
My philosophy on this is that if you put a lot of hard work into something you might as well let people who could not afford it or didn't buy it at the time enjoy it.
