Ok thanks. Now I'm trying to work out how to use this crafting tool but not having much success. Any pointers here?

You can check it from time to time to get an idea of how you're doing. My most recent accomplishment has been crafting a rifle and ammunition for it. The bulk of the rifle came from a kit, but still. I finally figured out that the different collectors are useful to harvest different types of resources, though I guess it should have been pretty obvious. :) Enjoy, Zack.
