It does, but I was also under that same misconception. Thanks for the clarification. I would not distribute a free demo that can be turned into a fully functioning game with an unlock code, because it can become pirated if hacked. But this is a personal opinion in order to hopefully cut down piracy chances.

You are not correct. Piracy is illegally steeling a software product
you have to pay for. A demo, which was redistributed freely, is not
piracy because it requires no paid license to redistribute and play.
Therefore it is impossible to commit theft for something that was
available for free in the first place. the only time it would become
piracy is if the author specifically said not to redistribute the
demo, or someone was passing around the unlock code generator to
license the full version illegally. Ishan is merely requesting the
free 15 day demo which is still well within the legality of this list.
