Hi Ken, Well, if you have a bookshare account you can get Visual Basic .NET in a Nutshell which is a good introduction to Visual Basic .NET. As far as panning and 3d audio goes that all depends on what audio library you go with such as FMOD Ex, XAudio2, OpenAL, etc.
