Well you can still directly get them as well as from steam.
therre are some advantages getting them directly as on gog.com or
steam, its good the smuglers games are in many platforms.
you have to bum smuglers 1-4 in a single pack now.

Likewise, I actually think you could probably finish smugglers 3, ie, get
the best ship, win the cessession war, get all the ranks about 50 times over
in that time as well.
