if you listen to any hollywood actors giving osca speaches :D.
As to snuff it, it means to die! That is why the 39th Disk world book by
Terry pratchet is called snuff, sinse it's a pun on the fact that the plot
both involves smuggling of Tobacco, but also lots of people meeting nasty
ends.
