As I recall Window-Eyes' problem sometimes has to do with the screen
resolution and video settings. Its been a while since I've used my
copy of Window-Eyes, but I have experienced the problem in other
programs where Window-Eyes fails to speak text on the screen while
using the mouse/WE cursors. Not sure what version Bryan is using, but
it is possible this issue has been fixed in newer versions. I can try
Window-Eyes 8.4 with Smugglers 5 and see if I can reproduce the issue.

it's a shame you can't get the game to work, sinse it's awsome! I got
lucky
and took over an enemy carrier and now have a massive flying fortress with
which I'm trying to win the war, fighting in loads of fleet battles and
taking on enemy starases andntire nemyflees.
