well the link from raul should be up now and he did finnish the
entire thing on an old analog system.
Interestingly gtc can still be played even on modern boxes with
little adjustment though the sound effects include sound volume are
totally screwed the left right directions are not but who knows if
the position sounds are a bit screwed its not as bad as shades 1 was.

through secter 4. I may give it another go today, or just come back
tomorrow when I don't feel like I'm repeating myself quite so much.
Hopefully my next attempt won't have me dying due to my own
accidentally fired cruise missiles or shooting an ammo dump at point
blank range.
