Just loaded a collection of the following directories into the talking VMWare image of dos 6.22/windows 3.1 into a games directory had created on virtual C: drive - this was just a collection of dos games had here, and not sure what they all actually are, but tested one quickly now - sherlock, and it seems to be a compiled dos game version of the infocom interpreter wrapped around a specific adventure - and worked fine along with ASAP dos screen reader:
