i totally disagree with you that the only people bennifiting from mailing
lists are those on dialup, and certainly we are getting new members.
There are several advantages mailing lists have, eg, information streight in
one lace, being able to reply quickly and easily, being able to change
topics on the fly etc. Some people I've encountered prefer mailing lists to
forums, and some otherwise, which is why I'm certainly in favour of keeping
both going, and why (even though personally I'm not keen on facebook), I'd
not be against a facebook group either, for all I do appreciate the concerns
people have raised about difuse information.
