Hi,
I'm playing Aardwolf for several years now and really like it.
It's easy to get around and finding the area you want, because the game
has built in speedwalks. The newbie zone is one of the best I've ever
seen, the whole newbie academy is a rather involved quest in itself.
Yes, there are these quests where you go to a questmaster and get a mob
you have to kill for quest points, but there are other quests as well.
These others are called goals and are area quests, where you start it
and even get a quest log with tasks to complete for the goal. These
goals are quite more involved than the killing type and can be rather
difficult. I got stuck for while myself on two of these already, but
there was a reasonable solution all the time, I just didn't see it. Lol.
What everyone should know is that the areas in this mud are not all
stricktly fantasy. There are all sorts of areas, including Sci-Fi themed
ones and outright crazy or funny ones, but that's what I like about this
game.
Best regards
Sarah

When checking the ardwolf wiki there seemed to be some good
information on screen reader access, including maps of some difficult
to navigate areas and abilities for doing quests, though the game
struck me very much as a combat pounder what with most quests being of
the "find and kill x number of mobs" variety, not that that is a problem.
I can't say more about the Ardwolf mud though sinse it's been on my
list of things to try but I haven't done so yet.
All the best,
Dark.

I started playing this mud about 2 years ago. I was a pen and paper
Palladium
role player and loved the game world, but it was a bit lacking in
combat and magic. plus, quests were given but if you didn't know -
where in general terms where to go, the only player race to take was
the Wolfen class with the innate tracking ability. Yes, other classes
could learn the tracking skill, but you'd have to level a bit before
that skill was available. Plus, I didn't find the people very
helpful or friendly on the MUd. Just my observations and opinion.

or two others. so now it reads with NVDA. and I also got the custom
mush-z alter aeon client installed as well. I tried the lord of the
rings two towers mud but it doesn't seem very accessible. It doesn't
always ask for my username and password and I have to guess at what
it is or may be asking. also do any of you play the empire mud where
you make your own empire and craft stuff?
