Peasants tend to stand around when there isn't work to do.
Each source of food you can get produced is another energy source for your
people. So, if you've only farmed vegitables and hunted or fished meat, your
missing out on other jobs. Also, a bar tendeder is only needed if you have
wine being produced. I personally always go a rate of one and a quarter
farmers per farm, so if you have a grane farm, a vegitable farm and a
vinyard, you will need three farmers, but to produce more food just assign
another farmer, though make sure you have peasants to transport the produce
from the farm to the storehouse, and from the sotrehouse to the tavern.
As to dealing with the yetti, well five soldiers are a minimum raid size,
but knights are your best bet. I'd always work in mission 2 on getting
knights up and running as soon as possible, then soldiers, then if you have
time and people to spare for the tayloring rangers, indeed usually I tend to
find that the yetti go down rather sooner than I expect.
Also remember in Castaways against the yetti, attack can be the best form
of defense, sinse the more yetti you can attack in raids and kill, the
harder it'll be for them to build up their forces and attack you back,
indeed usually I tend to find I destroy the yetti even before I've built
many of the buildings.

Subject: [Audyssey] cast aways question
Hi everyone, I'm trying out mission 2 in castaways, but my people keep
being killed. I have 5 soldiers, but am unable to keep the enimies down
very well. They attack the goblins fine, but keep being killed when the
other enimie soldiers show up, and it says I can only send 5 soldiers out
at once. I have built a war tent and a guard tower, but the goblins keep
returning to the same squares, so we don't seem to be making any headway
and I'm fast running out of people. I'm also having problems with pesants
standing around doing nothing, and messages about my people on the verdge
of starvation. I'm not sure how to make my pesants work, and wish I could
asign them to certain tasks, like so many on tavern duty etc. I have a
cook and bar tender, and it tells me both are working, I also have a
fisherman a hunter and 2 farmers, so amn't sure what I'm missing.
I'd be grateful for any tips on mission 2. Thanks from Lori.
