Hi jess.

About games, there are various arcade and adventure type games with the top down 2D view like manamon where you can walk in four directions, most particularly Vgstorm's previous title Paladin of the skies.

Other than Entombed though, most games, even the 2D ones are not rpg games, but fast action arcade or adventure games. Games like super deakout, self destruct, danger on the wheel or the like, even Night of parasite is primarily an action game, we're definitely waiting on more rpgs :D.

As regards games with minigames though, Crazy party is thus far rather unique, since up to now arcade style games have tended to be at most one or two games in one package (only some of Bsc's titles came close I think and even those were limited to at most only 10 different types of levels in Hunter, plus aren't available anymore which is a shame).

However, I was remarkably impressed recently with Oriol's new game Rhithm rage, since though the hole game has a rhithm action feel, each level is a rather different sort of challenge, from winding up a clock, to doing a kung fu battle, to helping a plummer in a hommage to Bsc's pipe.

As I said, while all are rhithm action, the challenges vary a lot, indeed I'd heartily recommend Rhithm rage to anyone, it's even better than Beat star.
