Hi. I was wondering if anyone has, or is, playing frandum, frandum.fr port 2001
I'd had a brief look at this mud last year, but didn't really get the hang of things quite correctly since it's got a highly different approach to most muds, for a start, killing monsters is no use at all if you want to gain experience. I tried trying it again for the db and am now much further along than I was previously, ---- and it's awesome! Basically you progress by wandering around, looking at objects, doing quests and trying different activities, though it's discovery and questing which is the really important thing here, indeed you get experience just for exploring the world enough. The developers are fantastic, indeed one is a regular on the forum, and probably make access changes quicker than you'd believe (I rquested a new area command be added last night, and it was added within literally ten minutes). The game has also some amazingly nice writing and history, indeed it reminds me strongly of games like fallthru especially with how the world works, though without the clunky parza. For more info see http://www.audiogames.net/db.php?id=Frandum Which is my db entry, and of course check out the frandom website which has a lot of really useful info. I'd definitely recommend this one if your looking for a new mud to play and one different to probably anything you've seen. all the best, Dark. --- Gamers mailing list __ [email protected] If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to [email protected].
