Hi Dark,
As for STFC if it goes real time you would only be in charge of one ship 
as in GMA Tank Commander. Although, if aditional ships were added I can 
easily see a simple command and control facility like GTC has where you 
tell them what course to set and speed and they handle themselves if 
attacked.
I'm thinking of a game where this is possible, but I am giving no info 
on it now where something similar might be introduced when I get a 
chanse to do so.
As for Raceway there is still going to be some human elements. For 
example if you bang your front James North will come on the radio and 
say something like, "Hey you have some damage to your front side you 
better come on in to the pits," and other things he had made for the 
game before he gave it up.
The Sapi will handle menus, status reports like speed, and so on. In 
this regard it is a bit like Railracer where Che does the pit boss 
voices and so on but for general use Sapi takes up most of that.
