Hi Ian.

treasuremania's actually quite simple once you pick the sounds up. You are
going along in your boat from left to right with clifs at either end. You
can distinguish where the cliffs are by the long, gritty, waves breaking on
a beach type sound they make.

the main thing you need to do in the game is collect chests. these make a
very slight creeking sound when your boat is close, but that's actually
slightly hard to hear imho, so just press the R key to use your detector
which will give you a loud beeping sound when it's time to lower your hook
for a chest.

If your hook hits the chest you'll here a hollo booming sound and can start
drawing it back up. the bell like bong sounds means new level, and the
swishing sound means more chests have come onto the playing field.

then, there is fish and whether conditions, in rough whether you might hear
a storm and the wave sounds will be bigger, and moving around or staying in
one place will be harder. Fish make a variety of small splashing and bubling
noises, and you can catch the small ones that buble at you. But when your
lowering your chain for a chest, the fish can tangle it which obviously
isn't good.

then there are sharks that make the evil snorting sound, don't try to fish
these with your net, and certainly don't jump into the water when you here
them around.

The only other three sounds you need to know are the arrow, lightning and
bees, which are probably easy to pick up here, but I'll mention them anyway
for completeness sake.

When you here a storm and a smashing type noise, make sure your not close or
you'll get struck by lightning.

A series of wooshing noises panning across your speakers means an arrow, so
duck with the left ctrl. and on the insane difficulty, the killer bees sound
like, ----- well your average bee (a pretty evil disguise methinks).

Anyway, Hth.

Personally, I think the game should stay as it is without a learn game
sounds menue, but then again I didn't myself have difficulty with the sounds
in the game, so it's probably just a matter of preference.

Beware the Grue!

Dark.
