I only have about a six inch square myself, and that works fine, you just have to practicepicking the mouse up with the edge of your fingers and placing it back down. Another trick is to reset the left to right position of the mouse when you aren't in a curve, as it has no effect on the straights. I reccomend you subscribe to the rail racer list if you purchased the game, the experienced beta testers can offer some really good advice on playing. Rock Che
