Hi Dark,

As far as Stfc goes, while I understand the reasons for removing the
Defiant, but I do wonder what this will do to the tactical elements of the
game. Have you considdered adding some other objects to compensate for it's
loss, such as obstacles in space, or the ability to use tackion beams as
a snare
to detect cloaked ships.

As a matter of fact I have. For one thing I've thought of adding some
nebulas to the game. A nebula would be a good place to hide one or more
ships with a low probability of detection. You'd have some of the
advantages of a cloaking device, and it would work for your entire fleet
if you placed your ships there.
However, at this point this is just theoretical ideas for STFC 2. I have
to rebuild the entire game core from scratch so that work alone would
take about six months or so.

I must admit, I'm glad your going with a tng game, sinse it's
deffinately my favourite
series of trek. Have you had any thoughts about either including
missions in stfc?

It is possible from a programming standpoint. It would also make the
game allot more interesting. You could fight an entire fleet of rogue
Klingons, blocade a Federation boarder from hostile Cardassians, have a
boarder dispute with Tholians, etc. Very interesting changes in the game
are possible with missions. However, for individual missions I would
really prefer a live action Trek game that is like Lonewolf except you
are commanding the Enterprise and not a sub.

Well obviously sinse I was looking forward to Monti I'm slightly
disappointed the
demo won't be appearing as soon as expected, but I do understand the
reason why.
End quote

Well, just know I am working as fast as I can.
Cheers.
