1. Is it possible to explore maps without actually being attacked? I want to know where and what is where, so I can plan to attack things.
Send some peasants to scout. They are in defensive mode by default so they flee if they arrive into a square with enemies. Then use F5 to listen to the number of units in this square. You can also send a soldier in defensive mode. 2. Could the locations of the mines and woods and so on be changed randomly? I created one random map (only resources locations were random) but I removed it later. Before that I will give the ability to write maps. I may include this random feature in the map language too. 3. if there was a keystroke to get to the next unknown square... Yes. Maybe Alt + page up or page down. Anyway there are lots of unknown squares or squares in the fog of war, so maybe an auto-explore order would be interesting. _______________________________________________ Gamers mailing list ..
