If we did with livejournal,
Someone would have to pay for a voiceposting account.
and you can only post for 5 minutes.
May I suggest a more freer option.
1.  we get a teamtalk server.
Teamtalk is free.
we get a wordpress blog loaded on the server, I presume this is a 
linux server, that to is free.
If we don't get a server someone can create a channel on tbrn.net or 
join the games channel on there, but tt is free.
so is irc for those that wish to use it.
So is getting a supporting skype and msn account.
There are a load of things free.
I have an lj account, free, but its only text.
