Hi Alex, As far as simplicity goes I'd say probably Python would be the easiest language to learn. Though, my recommendation would all depend on what exactly you wanted to program, what os, etc... For anyone wishing to write Windows based applications I'd say C# .Net or Visual Basic .Net is their best bet. Both have solid oop designs, and would get you into that aspect of programming early, and you wouldn't have to learn it later.
